Chemical application records

What a technician fills in to complete a visit, how state rules are set, and where to export your records.

Who can do this: Technicians fill them in; the owner sets the rules

What the technician fills in

  1. In My day, tap Complete on the visit.
  2. Under Chemicals used, enter the Product and EPA Reg. No. (always required), plus whatever else your business requires: Quantity applied, Application method, Rate/dosage, Size of area treated. Use last product here is a shortcut for the product used last time.
  3. Under Target pests & areas, tap the pests and areas treated.
  4. Tap Complete visit. If something required is missing, the screen lists what.

Weather is filled in automatically. If the technician has no license on file, they're asked for the Supervising certified applicator.

Choose what's required

Settings → Chemicals and licenses, in the License compliance card. Turn on "Require a chemical application record before a job can be completed" and pick the fields required before closing a job. By default Quantity applied and Application method are required.

To change it for one service, open that service on the Services page and set Requires a chemical record to Use business default, Always or Never.

State rules

When your business is in New York, Quantity applied is turned on for you. In Arkansas, Quantity applied, Size of area treated and the supervising applicator are turned on. You can change these in Settings; check your state's rules before turning any off.

Export your records

Settings → Import and export. Download Application records (CSV), the Annual chemical usage report for a date range, or the New York DEC report (Excel or CSV). Records also appear on the invoice and service report.
